Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
I charge $95 per 45 minute session and you pay as you go. Many coaches require a commitment of at least 6 sessions. I don’t want to burden future clients with a steep cost. Let’s test the water and work to find solutions that you feel good about.
Which type of coaching is best for me?
After the introductory meeting, we explore which pathways and solutions are realistic based on your situation.
Life coaching focuses on personal relationships, emotional intelligence, and developing capacity around a growth mindset.
Business and executive coaching is rooted in professional practices of leadership, management, and expanding agency within the workplace.
What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
In general, therapy focuses on past experiences and their impact on your current lifestyle, while coaching emphasizes establishing successful action plans that help you fulfill your vision.
How long does coaching take to work?
Some people can navigate substantial change right away. Each person is different. In general, coaching lasts 2 to 4 months. It comes down to your goals, needs, and level of motivation. Of course, more complex situations can take more time and effort.
What about confidentiality?
All the information you share is private. If you are paying for the sessions yourself, you are fully protected. No sessions are recorded. If your company is paying for your coaching, ensure you understand the agreements, expectations and limitations in place. Feel free to contact me directly to provide more clarification involving this matter.
Are you an accredited coach?
No, because I have spent my time in getting credentialed along other pathways. For more than three decades, I have been providing training services to both individuals and organizations. Much of my work has been spent coaching learners, from entry-level employees to three-star generals. As a trainer and facilitator, I practice proximal learning, meaning I strive to stand alongside you, not talk at you or simply consult.
I have a BA in psychology, a Master's in teaching, and am working on my doctorate in educational leadership. Additionally, I am a certified behavioral analyst through the DISC Master Certification Program (DataDome) and a qualified course professional at the trainer/tester level through ACCT. A great coach is an effective listener and a respectful facilitator who guides a process aimed at helping you achieve your goals. I hope you reach out to start the process.
