Training Goal: To introduce participants to the skills and processes necessary to conduct basic challenge course operations (Level 1)

  • Risk Management, Industry Best Practices
  • Facilitation and Processing the Experience
  • Equipment Inspection, Maintenance and Use
  • Set-up Procedures for Low and High Elements
  • Spotted and Non-Spotted Activities
  • Belay Concepts
  • Basic Rescue Techniques
  • Climbing in a Leading Edge Environment
  • High Element Operations

  • Anyone desiring training in the field of challenge course operations
  • Education, environmental and recreation majors
  • Teachers, PE teachers, coaches, educational assistants, etc.
  • Youth group leaders, youth ministers and pastors, etc.
  • Summer camp staff, program leaders, directors
  • Outdoor school staff, instructors and guides
  • Organizational leaders (businesses, corporate, military, faith-based, scouts, teams, etc.)

Registration Information: Registration deadline is 30 days prior to the training date.

  • You may register online, by phone, mail or fax.
  • You are considered registered once payment is received in full.
  • In the event of a training cancellation, you may elect to receive a full refund or apply it to a different training hosted by Challenge Applications.
 
Terms and Conditions: Cancellations received up to 30 days before the training are 50% refundable. After that, cancellations are subject to the entire training fee, which you may also apply toward a future training. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
