Basic Skills Training (Lows and Highs) for Level 1 Facilitators

April 20-24, 2009 (9am-6pm daily)

Tuition: $495

Meals: $115 (required)

Lodging: $25 per night (optional - you must contact us to reserve your exact nights)

Training Goal: To introduce participants to the skills and processes necessary to conduct basic challenge course operations (Level 1)

Essential Elements of Adventure Programming
Risk Management, Industry Best Practices
Facilitation and Processing the Experience
Equipment Inspection, Maintenance and Use
Set-up Procedures for Low and High Elements
Spotted and Non-Spotted Activities
Belay Concepts
Basic Rescue Techniques
Climbing in a Leading Edge Environment
High Element Operations

Who Should Attend:

Anyone desiring training in the field of challenge course operations
Education, environmental and recreation majors
Teachers, PE teachers, coaches, educational assistants, etc.
Youth group leaders, youth ministers and pastors, etc.
Summer camp staff, program leaders, directors
Outdoor school staff, instructors and guides
Organizational leaders (businesses, corporate, military, faith-based, scouts, teams, etc.)

Registration Information: Registration deadline is 30 days prior to the training date.

You are considered registered once payment is received in full.
In the event of a training cancellation, you may elect to receive a full refund or apply it to a different training hosted by Challenge Applications.

Terms and Conditions: Cancellations received up to 30 days before the training are 50% refundable. After that, cancellations are subject to the entire training fee, which you may also apply toward a future training. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment.
